Welcome to 2013!
How was your New Year's Eve? Ours was very different from what we were used to (celebrating Edward's birthday at my brother's place and ringing in the new year there) since I had to work on the 31st. Instead, Pat and I had a quiet night at home. We ordered food, drank some wine and expensive scotch and worked on a puzzle Pat had randomly picked up that day (partly because we had been working on puzzles at his parents' place over the holidays). It was fun - different, but fun.
Well, different in all ways but one: near midnight, Pat turned on the TV to the Dick Clark tribute bash, as he did last year at my brother's (well, it wasn't a tribute last year, but you know what I mean). Just like last year, around 10 after, we realized we were watching the channel for the western time zone... and completely missed the countdown. Again! Ha! Oh well... there's always next year!
The evidence of our evening wasn't too bad yesterday morning:
As you can see, we weren't too wild. And we made quite a bit of progress on the puzzle (which I finished yesterday... the sections with red flowers were last):
I was looking back through my posts and photos from 2012 and I think I'll do another recap this year. I also want to finish up my list of goals for 2013 and get back into a regular posting schedule. I think the first goal on my list will be to finish unpacking and organizing the craft room / office - I'm itching to break out some paint and messy mixed-media...
