I'm still chugging along with my Project 52; I haven't missed a week yet. The last couple weeks have been close though. Instead of taking a photo specifically for the project, I've just chosen photos that I took earlier in the week. You may recognize a couple from previous posts.
week 12: from the jewelry box
This photo I took especially for the project... but I didn't think too much about it. I just took a bunch real quick of my dresser where I keep all my jewelry.
week 13: just for fun
When I saw the bushel of these hot peppers at the grocery store, I had to buy one of every colour! They're just too cute - and since I didn't use all of them in my cooking, they were a "just for fun" purchase.
week 14: fusion
I'm not exactly sure how this one fits into the theme... but I guess yoga has become a sort of East-meets-West fusion; originating in the East, it has become widely popular here in the West. I've also been trying to infuse this beneficial practice into my day-to-day life.
Ideally, I'd like to spend a bit more time behind the camera: finding the perfect subject matter for the theme, playing with the light & composition. That isn't going to be easy with my busy schedule, but I'm going to try. Starting with this week's theme: "how others see you" ... yikes. This is going to be a tricky one!
the pepper shot is my fav, sooo cool, I thought painting right away.

I love your peppers photo especially too! I'm still getting excited about the weekly Project 52 themes and having just about enough time to fiddle about with photos - yours look very planned and composed, even if they weren't!
ReplyDeletePeppers are fantastic. Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so ;)
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are all great, but that pepper one- I just love it! I'd frame it and pop it on my kitchen wall!
ReplyDeleteI love the three plates the jewelry are on... Stunning colours..Vintage?
ReplyDeletethanks guys! looks like the peppers were a hit! maybe i should look into making it into a print...
ReplyDeleteCaroline (aka Mrs Linee) - yep. those are vintage. i traded for them off etsy - there are 5 of them. the pink & red one aren't shown. the pink one is on the other side of my dresser with the burgundy dresser set my mom gave me (shown here: http://www.ulixis.com/2010/12/vintage-haul.html ) & the red one is in my living room. :)
