Last year (heee, I love saying that in January - it sounds so long ago!), I posted a few Christmas crafts & recipes that I wanted to try (check it out HERE). I didn't get around to most of them, but I did break out my button stash to make a couple of wreathes! Take a look:
The first one I made is more Christmas-y in red & white:
It turned out a little bit wonky since I just kind of winged it. I started with larger buttons & glued them into a more or less circular shape using a sparkly red glue stick in my glue gun. I like how the glitter shows through the clear buttons.
Once I filled in with smaller buttons, it started taking shape. I think it turned out perfectly lovely with the seasonal ribbon to hang.
Next, I made one in pastel blues, greens & purples:
I was a bit more systematic in my button placement - I planned it out so that I achieved a symmetrical circle. Then I filled in with small buttons again, this time with silver glitter glue showing here & there.
This one is definitely my favourite!
I'm going to leave it out, at least for the winter, along with my snowflake tree print (by my friend Angie - in the summer, I swap it for this original watercolor). Now I just need to finish putting away all my Christmas stuff & decide on the rest of my winter decor!
Do you have seasonal decorations that you rotate through during the year? I do - I love rediscovering things each year, sparking memories of seasons past.

Wonderful wreaths! I started collecting buttons last year - because I want to make a button wreath! Now I will let you make them and I will buy one form you!
