Of all original art forms, encaustic artwork captivates me the most. I love the texture of the wax, molded, tinted into shape. I definitely want to try it someday.
Until I find the supplies (and time) for it though, I'm going to drool over the great encaustic works on Etsy. I especially love this green garden by aliherrmann. The collaged paper elements really add to the piece - colour, layers, texture.
