Item of the day: Tiger Sun
Linocutting was a technique I remember trying in high school art class. I really enjoyed it, and was quite pleased with the (now long gone) results. I'm really considering taking up the craft again, but the craft store is quite a trip without a vehicle. So in the meantime, I'll just drool over the amazing linocuts on Etsy. This Tiger Sun by magprint really spoke to me:Since there was a huge old oak tree in our front yard when I was growing up (so large a mama and baby bear took residence in it for a few days last fall!), I really feel at home looking up into the canopy, branches either bare or leaf-filled. The intricacy of the branches in this lino-print is really amazing and the colours of the sun really make them pop out at you!

That is very beautiful. I have never heard of this. Thanks for sharing. Learn something new everyday.
Beautiful! It looks simple but have balance color and object position.
I remember doing linocutting in art class. Always made me nervous. :)
