I joined the MSOE (Mad Scientists of Etsy) team a couple of months ago, and I don't think I've shared any of my challenge pieces. I aim to change that today.
The first challenge for any new members is the first group challenge: "science as art." You are free to interpret in any way. I loved my animal histology class, and remember thinking what great art the sketches I was making in class would make. So I decided to turn a sketch of a medium artery (at the light microscope level of magnification) and make it into tags:My first challenge was the August challenge: microbiology. I also took a class on that subject, so I pulled out my old class notes and found a cool diagram of basic bacteria shapes. So I made that into some cards, hand-drawn in pencil crayon.September's challenge was Nicolaus Copernicus. I decided early on that I wanted to make a solar system pendant, but how took a bit of imagination. I finally decided on making silver wire "orbits" with "planet" beads on each one. I'm really pleased with how it turned out:
October's challenge is geothermal. I'm at a complete loss. What the heck and I going to do for that???

Nice stuff! Saw your comment on Brigette's blog. Then saw that you were just a little ways away - in Hamilton! I used to go to school in Oakville! Exclamation point!
I'll be back!

The Copernicus interpretation is very lovely. Good luck with the next challenge!
Everything in ur blog looks great! I like reading the different articles!
wow, sounds like a neat group. I do not think I would be able to do any of them! I'm kind of limited ;)
I love the solar system pendant though. Liked it right from the get go.
I was never very good at science. :-) Your stuff looks awesome, though.
